[...] Jason presents Cooking Poor posted at Live Real, Now, saying, “Frugal cooking can be an intimidating concept. Its easy to turn a meal into a huge expense, but its not that hard to trim your grocery budget without sacrificing variety and flavor. It just takes some planning and a few money-saving techniques.
For years we were throwing away food. It was sooo frustrating to me, that I simply didn't know what to do.

Every time we chucked out rotten food, I was counting how much money we spent on that one.

IT really adds up!!!

I'm slowly figuring out what to do when it comes to food management. As with everything else, it takes organization and a lot of thought.

Also, I realize that you can do a lot of cooking one day a week, freeze most of it, and you'll be amazed how far it goes for the week.

I love to cook extra and freeze a few individual-sized meals. It makes it easy for a frozen-dinner lunch or a dinner on the go.

I would love to follow this advice, but I don't have the same schedule every day. I hardly have the same schedule any day. My work schedule is fairly consistent, but I often have meetings right after work. That takes me to a lot of fast casual type restaurants to eat on the go.
